How much does it cost to watch a movie?
All videos marked "Rent" are
available for 24 hour viewing and are priced
at $3.99 for new movies and $2.99 for older
titles. There are also special discounts
available in our Showcase Section. For titles
marked "Buy", the downloads are
typically priced between $9.95 and $19.95.

What movies are available?
CinemaNow works with major studios such as
Disney, Fox, Lionsgate, NBC Universal, Sony
and Warner Bros. to make as many videos
available as possible. While some movie may
not currently be available we encourage you
to keep checking back as new movies are added
each week. Sign up for our free newsletter to
stay up to date on the latest releases.

How large is a movie file? How much space do
I need on my computer to store the file?
Most of our download files are encoded
between 1200k and 1500k, and they require
around 1400MBs of free space on your
hard drive. For tips on how to check your
free space, see our customer service center.

How long does it take to download a movie?
With a fast connection (DSL, Cable Modem or
better) a Standard Quality (700k) video
should take about 30-40 minutes to download.
A DVD Quality (1500K) takes about an hour to
an hour and a half. If you want to watch your
movie while it is downloading, you can start
playing it in as little as 30 seconds.

What are the minimum technical requirements?
In order to make full use of CinemaNow and be
able to watch and purchase all of our
different files and products you will need:
Internet Explorer 6.0*
Windows XP
Windows Media Player 10*
A 300K or better Internet connection: we
recommend a cable or DSL connection.
*Current Beta Versions of Internet Explorer
7.0 and Windows Media Player 11 are not
currrently supported.
Please also note that you might be able to
watch some files using Windows Media Player 9
and older operating systems such as Windows
2000 or ME, but we no longer support, test or
recommend our products for use with these
OS's or players.

Can I burn videos to a DVD?
Only videos in the Burn-To-DVD
section can be burned and played in a
standard DVD player. Please see the Burn To
DVD How it Works page for more details. For
all other CinemaNow videos, Your DVD player
will not be able to read the information
properly since our videos use a special
security protection. For info on other ways
to watch on your TV, click here.

How do I watch CinemaNow movies on my TV?
If your laptop has an S-video jack, then you
can hook your computer directly to your TV. .

Why can I buy some movies and rent others?
We offer our videos to you according to the
licenses given by filmmakers and content
companies. We are working with them to expand
our options so you have more of what you
want!

Can I transfer movies to my video iPod, PSP
or other portable player?
At this time, CinemaNow movies are not
available for the iPod or PSP, however we are
working with our content providers to expand
the options you have.
